A true pioneer in Arizona’s home inspection industry, Bryck Guibor founded Guibor Home Inspections over 40 years ago—now known as Brick by Bryck. With thousands of inspections under his belt, Bryck brings unmatched depth, precision, and historical insight to every property assessment. He holds active licenses as both a home inspector and general contractor (AZ License #38101) and is considered an expert in historic and older homes.

Bryck’s impact goes far beyond the job site. A member of ASHI since 1980, he’s a charter member of the Arizona ASHI, where he also served as Education Director for over a decade. He’s taught nationally on home inspection, historic preservation, and building systems for organizations like the National Park Service, Indian Health Services, and ASHI National.

He also trains the next generation of inspectors through Training Services Associates and contributes as a subject matter expert for the National Home Inspector Exam, used in Arizona and across many states. Bryck’s dedication to education, high standards, and leadership shapes the strong internal training culture at Brick by Bryck, setting the bar for excellence in the field.

With over 25 years of leadership experience in facilities and operations at major retailers like Sears, PetSmart, and Bass Pro Shops, David Karel brings a systems-based approach to home inspections. His background in managing large infrastructures adds a unique layer of expertise to both residential and commercial inspections.

David is a member of AZ-ASHI and a subject matter expert for the National Home Inspectors Exam, further validating his technical knowledge and reinforcing the company’s commitment to top-tier inspection standards. His thoughtful, methodical nature and strong communication skills make him a valuable addition to the Brick by Bryck team—and a trusted inspector clients feel confident working with.

With over 17 years of experience in the HVAC field, Gus Doherty brings a deep understanding of home systems and a natural curiosity for how things work. His passion lies in engineering and the way all the pieces fit together—making home inspecting a perfect next step in his career.

For the past 4 years, Gus has been a valued member of the Brick by Bryck team. His keen attention to detail, thoughtful approach, and genuine care for clients consistently shine through in every inspection he performs. Whether he’s evaluating a system or explaining findings to a homeowner, Gus combines technical expertise with a calm, approachable demeanor that puts clients at ease.

Vern Sandt is a retired Air Force veteran with over 20 years as a Nationally Registered EMT-Paramedic. His keen eye and commitment to excellence earned him honors like Global Medic of the Year, selection to the Space Shuttle Recovery Team, and the Legion of Merit Award from SICOFAA.

After his military career, Vern moved into property preservation, overseeing the securing, inspection, and rehab of bank-owned homes. His detail-oriented approach and investigative mindset made him a natural fit for home inspection, where he earned his Arizona certification and brought exceptional care to every job.

Though now retired, Vern’s legacy continues to be felt at Brick by Bryck. We’re grateful for the years of professionalism, care, and precision he brought to every inspection—and we’re proud to have had him as part of our team.

Tarah worked in the education field for many years before becoming a mom and deciding to pursue a new path. She has been part of the Brick by Bryck Home Inspections team for over four years as an independent contractor, where she plays a key role in preparing home inspection reports for clients and Realtors. A Tucson native, Tarah enjoys being part of a company that values precision, professionalism, and teamwork. She finds the work rewarding and appreciates the opportunity to continually deepen her understanding of the many components that go into a thorough home inspection.

The heartbeat of Brick by Bryck’s operations, Susan oversees daily scheduling with Realtors and clients across Southern Arizona and ensures everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

Notably, she was part of the development team for the company’s state-approved proprietary reporting software, which is now used by multiple inspection companies throughout Arizona. Her leadership in innovation and quality assurance has been instrumental in shaping the tools and systems that support the company’s continued reputation for excellence.
