Questions to Ask your Inspector
Are you a certified member of ASHI, the American Society of Home Inspectors, Inc? Accreditation from this well regarded organization means that the home inspector subscribes to ASHI standards of practice and code of ethics. The inspectors at Brick by Bryck are accredited with AZ ASHI.
Are you a Certified Home Inspector in the State of Arizona? Are you listed on the State web site? Our inspectors are certified with the State of Arizona and on the State BTR website.
What is your guarantee backing up your inspection? If the AC compressor breaks two days after the inspection, will the home inspector take financial responsibility? No. An inspection is not a warranty. The buyer should look into home warranty programs. An inspection will discover those items which are reasonably discoverable at the time of inspection.
How long do I have to wait for your report? Most inspectors complete and return a report to the customer by the next day. Some provide on-site reports.
What is your training and experience? Many home inspectors have construction or engineering experience. Some are licensed building contractors. However, the inspector might be just out of a training school with little or no field experience. Please see the Our Team page for more information on our inspectors.
What is the cost of your home inspection and what does it include? Average home inspection costs vary depending on the size of the home and the number of systems to inspect. Pools, spas, hot tubs, radon screening, lead paint screening and other environmental sampling or testing will cost extra. A re-inspection may be necessary after repairs are made and will cost an additional fee. We would love to give you a quote based on your needs.
